1. Overview

The ThynkPay service — including the website at thynkpay.ng, the ThynkPay mobile applications, the underlying source code, visual designs, copy, logos, illustrations, sounds, and all other materials we publish — is the intellectual property of ThynkPay Nigeria Limited and our licensors. It is protected under the Nigerian Copyright Act 2022, the Trade Marks Act, and applicable international copyright treaties.

This notice sets out what we own, what you may and may not do with it, and how to contact us if you believe your own copyright has been infringed by content on ThynkPay.

2. Ownership of the service

Copyright © 2026 ThynkPay Nigeria Limited. All rights reserved.

Unless otherwise stated, every element of the ThynkPay service is owned by us or licensed to us. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The ThynkPay source code (web, mobile, and server).
  • The visual design system — colour palette, typography, iconography, illustrations, photographs, and layout.
  • All marketing copy, product copy, help articles, and in-product text.
  • Audio assets, animations, and any other multimedia published as part of the service.
  • Compilations and arrangements of data, including the ThynkPay banking-partner directory and bank metadata.

Nothing in this notice grants you any ownership, licence, or interest in our intellectual property other than the limited permitted use described below.

3. Trademarks

ThynkPay, the ThynkPay wordmark, the ThynkPay logo, the tagline "Scan. Pay. Move.", and all related names, marks, and slogans are trademarks of ThynkPay Nigeria Limited. They may be registered or pending registration in Nigeria and other jurisdictions.

You may not use any of our marks in connection with any product or service that is not ours, in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, or in any manner that disparages or discredits ThynkPay, without our prior written permission.

Other names, logos, and marks appearing on the service — such as the names and logos of our banking partners, payment networks, and integration partners — are the property of their respective owners and are used with permission or under fair-use principles for identification only.

4. User-submitted content

When you submit content to ThynkPay — for example your business name, business logo, profile photo, vendor description, transaction notes, support messages, or any feedback — you keep ownership of that content.

You grant ThynkPay Nigeria Limited a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and otherwise use that content strictly for the purpose of operating, improving, and supporting the ThynkPay service. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where we are required to retain it for regulatory, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.

You confirm that any content you submit is yours to share — that you either own it outright or have the right to grant this licence — and that it does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.

5. Third-party content & open source

The ThynkPay service uses open-source software libraries that are licensed under their own terms. We respect those licences and acknowledge the work of their authors. A full list of open-source dependencies and their licences is available on request from ogongopay@gmail.com.

Where third-party content (such as bank logos, partner trademarks, or stock photography) appears on the service, it is used either with permission, under licence, or for editorial / identification purposes consistent with fair dealing under Nigerian law.

6. Permitted use

Subject to your continued compliance with our Terms of Service and this notice, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to:

  • Access and use the ThynkPay service through our official website, mobile applications, and approved interfaces.
  • Print and display your own ThynkPay QR code at your place of business in order to accept payments.
  • Save and print transaction receipts you generate through the service for your own records.

Any other use of the ThynkPay name, logo, software, or content requires our prior written consent.

7. Prohibited use

Without our prior written permission, you must not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, sub-license, lease, or otherwise exploit any part of the ThynkPay service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the ThynkPay mobile or web applications, except where Nigerian law expressly allows this.
  • Build or distribute a derivative product, white-label, clone, or look-alike of ThynkPay.
  • Use ThynkPay branding to imply a partnership, endorsement, or affiliation that does not exist.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice from the service.
  • Scrape, mine, or otherwise extract data from the service by automated means without our written consent.

8. Reporting copyright infringement

We respect the copyright of others and ask that users of ThynkPay do the same. If you believe content on the ThynkPay service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to ogongopay@gmail.com that includes:

  • An identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • An identification of the material that is allegedly infringing, including a URL or other location on the ThynkPay service that lets us locate it.
  • Your name, postal address, phone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

We will review every complete notice and, where appropriate, remove or restrict access to the material in question. We may also notify the user who posted the material.

9. Counter-notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to ogongopay@gmail.com that contains:

  • An identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, postal address, phone number, and email address.
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Lagos State, Nigeria, and your agreement to accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

10. Repeat infringers

We may, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the copyright of others.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, take reasonable steps to notify you in advance — for example through an in-app message, a banner on the website, or an email to the address on your account.

Continued use of the ThynkPay service after the effective date of any update means you accept the revised notice.
